Mold Damage in Park Ridge Garage
This garage had a water leak that eventually tuned in to a mold problem. It was a warm month and the mold had an easy time of receiving moisture, making the situation ideal for growth.
The first step was to stop the water source which was a few missing shingles on the roof. Next, we removed the mold covered drywall on the ceiling. Because there was still moisture in the ceiling we placed air movers, aiming upwards, and dehumidifiers. It is very important that a wet area becomes dry quickly to keep mold from spreading.
We of course did not have the garage door wide open for the drying, only for the picture.
